Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to join our team and provide support to students in a K-12 setting. As a COTA, you will work closely with the occupational therapist to implement therapy plans designed to help students with various needs improve their functional abilities in the school environment. This is an onsite, full-time role that requires a valid Arkansas (AR) COTA license.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in delivering therapy services to students from kindergarten through 12th grade based on individualized treatment plans.
- Collaborate with the occupational therapist, teachers, and school staff to support students' physical, emotional, and educational development.
- Provide hands-on support to students in achieving their IEP goals through therapeutic activities.
- Document student progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with school and district requirements.
- Help students develop skills for daily living, classroom participation, and other school-related tasks.
Requirements:
- Must hold a valid Arkansas (AR) COTA license.
- Previous experience in a school-based setting or working with pediatric populations is preferred.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
